<div>Hello! <br/> <br/>On my recent scouting expedition to Chch, where by the way the wife was totally wowed (we are moving to Chch from San Francisco at the end of 2005, give or take a couple of months) I ate at some quite tasty restaurants. <div>Thanks for all of your recommendations, Michael, Mark and Sandra! <br/> <br/>My wife and I are in the middle of a 12-18 month long process of moving to New Zealand, and the beautiful city of Christchurch is where we will be landing :-) <br/> <br/>We are visiting Chch in April with a few friends and your recommendations will come in quite handy. <br/> <br/>I have found in the past that much of the food in NZ, while delicious, is not very hot and spicy. Even the wasabi (green paste with sushi) I have had has been rather inert. <br/> <br/>With all respect let me suggest that the usage of the word spicy might be a little different between NZ and the US.
